Country house in Santorini.
The traditional Cycladic architecture is the result of functional solutions.
The white color repels the heat of the scorching sun in the summer, the materials are always local and seem to blend in with the land and the environment. The relatively small openings prevent, powerful August winds , from entering the home.
In this project the owner wanted to mix tradition with the comforts of today’s life. The modern kitchen and abstact furniture, mix harmonically with the forged cement floors and wooden beams on the ceiling. The earthy color schemes relax and give a cooling sensation to the area, the perfect setting to “recharge our batteries”.
