HOUSE IN SANTORINI.

Traditional Cycladic architecture is the result of functional solutions. The white colour repels the heat of the scorching summer sun, the local materials seem to bond with the earth and the surroundings, and the relatively small openings keep the strong August winds out of the house. In this project the owner wanted to unite tradition with today’s comforts. The modern kitchen and minimalist furniture blend with the polished microcement and the wooden ceiling beams. The earthy colour tones rest the eye and give a sense of coolness to the space, the perfect environment to recharge.
